Bernard Flegar Jazz Quartet

Thilo Wagner - piano: He belongs to the leading swing pianists in Europe. His virtuosity and never erring taste have made him one of the most popular pianists. He has been on tour with Buddy De Franco, Slide Hampton, Ken Peplowski, and others.

Lorenzo Petrocca - guitar: Thanks to his incredible talent he has become one of the leading jazz guitarists in the shortest of time. He has played with great musicians such as Herb Ellis, Benny Bailey and Billy Mitchell. Numerous CD recordings with his own groups are evidence of his skill.

Davide Petrocca - contrabass: Like his elder brother, Davide is a most popular virtuoso on his instrument. His performance excels by perfect timing, spectacular technique and intuition. He has recently become a member of the trio of Monty Alexander.

Bernard Flegar - percussion: At 25 years of age he is the youngest of the quartet. At 10 years he began to play the percussion. Later he had famous teachers like Gregor Beck and legendary late Barret Deems from Chicago, who had played with Louis Armstrong's All Stars for many years (movie: High Society 1956). Bernard Flegar has been in contact with Tom Saunders, Dan Barret, Chuck Hedges, Eddie Higgins, Franz Jackson, Bill Allred, Frank Roberscheuten, Jesper Thilo, Charly Höllering, the Dukes of Dixieland from New Orleans, and others.

Concert tours have taken him to the USA, South Africa and Australia, where he took part in a much noted festival at the Sidney Opera House. You can often hear him in concert with the trombonist Alexander Katz or the Keith Hefty Jass All Stars.

Each of the four musicians combines not only outstanding musical execution but also tremendous playing enjoyment, which makes every concert an unforgettable event.
