3. Legal requirements
The legal requirements for this document are derived from the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG), in particular from Section 14 BFSG in conjunction with Section 3 (2) BFSG and the Ordinance on the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSGV); the contents are based on Annex 3 (to Sections 14 and 28 BFSG).
4. Compatibility status
Our online shop complies with the harmonised standard EN 301 549 in its currently valid version. The WCAG 2.1 guidelines referenced therein at conformity level AA are decisive. In addition, we already take into account selected requirements of WCAG 2.2, provided this is technically feasible and makes sense from a technical point of view.
The online shop is designed so that users with different abilities can use it. However, the above requirements are not currently fully met in all areas; the online shop is therefore partially compliant (partial conformity). We are continuously improving accessibility and user experience and systematically removing remaining barriers. In particular, we are implementing the following measures:
- Involvement of external experts for digital accessibility
- Independent external testing (most recently by TWIN CUBES GmbH)
- Awareness-raising and training of our employees on digital accessibility
5. Implementation:
5.1 Perceiveability:
- The online shop offers accessibility features that allow users to adjust colours, contrast and saturation, as well as font settings (e.g. size, line height) to suit their needs.
- Important videos have subtitles that can be switched on. Playback can be paused, stopped and adjusted in terms of speed and volume
- Our online shop can be used regardless of the screen orientation; the display of areas, content and functions adapts automatically.
- The browser's fill-in help can be used for frequently used personal fields, e.g. for address or contact details.
5.2 Operability:
- Interactive elements are sufficiently large and spaced sufficiently far appart from other elements
- Navigation works in portrait and landscape mode - both on desktop and mobile devices.
- We do not use complex pointer gestures (e. g. drag-and-drop) in the online shop.
- It is ensured that recurring areas of the page can be skipped and are easily accessible for both keyboard users and users of assistive technologies
5.3 Understandability:
- We use clear, logical structures with short sentences and paragraphs.
- Navigation mechanisms and functions, that are used repeatedly within the online shop are labelled consistently
- Focusing on components or entering data does not trigger unexpected context changes.
- The ordering process is designed to help users avoid making mistakes
5.4 Robustness & safety:
- Our online shop is implemented with semantically correct HTML.
- All accessibility features used (e.g., adjustments for colours, contrast, and saturation, as well as font settings) do not affect the privacy of users; no additional personal data is collected
