In order to make you enjoy your EuroSCHIRM ® brand product for a long time, you will find below our most important information about the operation and care:
1. Operating instructions
Open and Close
Always open Velcro strips slowly. This way you can avoid them being torn off the case or the canopy.
Make sure that the canopy does not come into contact with rough edges, or pointed surfaces and objects.
Always open and close the umbrellas with automatic open/close function at the push of a button. Press the push button on the handle to open the umbrella (1. & 2). Press the push button on the handle again to close the canopy. (3.) To close the umbrella completely, push the two ends of the umbrella together with the palms of the hands to the centre until a click noise is heard and the shaft locks into place. (4.)
Turning the umbrella top in the event of wind gusts:
Umbrellas with manual opener:
If the umbrella has been knocked over by the wind, close the umbrella over the runner and open the umbrella over the runner again.
Automatic umbrellas:
If the umbrella has been knocked over by wind, press the push button on the handle to close the umbrella top. (3.) To close the umbrella completely, push the two ends of the umbrella together with the palms of the hands to the centre until a click noise is heard and the shaft locks into place (4.). Then open the umbrella again with the push button on the handle (1).
The umbrella canopy will jump back to its original position and the frame will not be damaged. If, on the other hand, you try to push the knocked over frame back into the correct position manually, the ribs could break.
2. Care instructions:
Drying
Let the umbrella dry after use. We recommend that you place the umbrella in a well ventilated place so that it can dry completely. You can minimise the risk of water stains and mould formation.
Storage
After drying, place the umbrella in the umbrella canopy and store it in a dry place at ambient temperatur
Cleaning
Soiling, such as leaves, soil or insect excrement, is best brushed off the dry canopy in a timely manner with a soft brush. Spots are ideally treated in a wet state, which makes them easier to remove. Please do not use any chemical cleaning agents as they may damage the canopy and perhaps the coating.
The frames do not require special care. The handles can be wiped with a soft, dry cloth if required. The use of chemical cleaning agents is not recommended, as this could damage the handles.
Wear
Avoid contact with toiletries, anti-mosquito sprays, salt water, or even sand. The contact can cause a chemical reaction or abrasion and thus damage the canopy.
We use a high-quality coating for our silver UV-50+ protection. However, wear and tear over time cannot be avoided and are not a reason for complaint. This Wear is influenced by the frequency of use and favoured by mechanical abrasion and incorrect storage.
